Later this weekend I will be posting about my fabulous eyebrow wax and tweeze at Damone Roberts NYC.

The Furminator

I am obsessed with my new cat cleaning tool. And I think I know why it works so well. It is like a good mascara.
The furminator works by lifting the animal hair up and out.
You might be asking yourself how this applies to mascara.
When most people apply mascara, they fail to coat the root of the lash.
But if you reach up and get at the root, you will likely get a better result. Same thing goes with the cat hair. Who knew one cat could produce so much hair? I will post some pictures later.

M LAB

It started in London. At Harrod's. Then it became a cult. Now you can try it, that is, if you can afford it.

A product called M Lab.
M Lab was founded by Milbar Laboratories, a leader in the field of cosmeceutical development for more than two decades. Their products feature 45-74% active ingredients, rather than the 10-20% most cosmeceutical anti-aging lines use.

Bottom Line

Amazing skin products for the face. I tried these products and was somewhat skeptical because of all the hype and the price tag. But my skin tone looked even and bright. Also, the products did not irritate my skin. They are packed with active ingredients -- but still gentle.

I know this line is expensive, so I recommend buying the travel kit first.
You will receive roughly 4 weeks worth of product and you can make sure you like it before shelling out the big bucks.

The travel kit Contains:
cleanser, toner, eye cream, day treatment + SPF 15, night treatment and anti-aging serum.

Some of the anti-aging ingredients include: urea, algin, serine, maris aqua (sea water), glycerin, pisum sativum (pea extract), vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil and ceramide-2.

I'm a big fan of the cleanser and the serum.

This kit sells for $130 at dermstore
and mlab.

Celeb Sightings

I saw a great actress today. Cynthia Nixon. So, I'm two for four out of the SATC gals. (I ran into SJP on the beach last weekend)
Ms. Nixon is quite tall in person. And very thin. She kind of sounds like Miranda Hobbs. But she really doesn't look like her. She's fair and blond. She was shopping on the Upper West Side. Just like me.

The FURMINATOR

An update on Miss Nina:

Well it's 9:38pm and Nina is doing what she does best. She's napping -- or at least trying to nap. She is resting comfortably on top of my leather Crate and Barrel ottoman.
I think the Furminator wore her out. That, or she's just being a lazy ole cat.

I know this blog is for beauty products for adults, but I have to post about an item I bought for my cat, NINA.

It's called The Furminator.

This thing is the king of taking care of shedding animals. It looks like a brush, but it is very sharp. I just bought it at Petco on B'way.

So far, so good. I have a small pile of white and grey hair in my apartment. Any ideas for what to do with the excess hair? I always throw it out, but I kind of feel guilty.

Will report back later. I hope this helps with her hairballs.

Isn't she the prettiest cat in the whole wide world?

Women of Granite

What a great weekend. Scott and I traveled to Hanover, NH for my 10th college reunion. It was so great to see many familiar faces ...
I'm really at a loss of words - everyone looked so healthy and happy.
And there were lots of babies. And big bellies.
Seriously, Hanover was picture perfect Sunday. Blue skies and 86 degrees.
Now, if you know anything about Hanover, it is rarely sunny and hot!
Anyway, I was very happy I remembered my sunscreen: SkinCeuticals.
I used it during the day Friday when we hung out on the green and walked around campus.
The campus looked great. The school finally added some dorms and added on to the library. I love that the new buildings respect the integrity of the old ones.
The library is outstanding.
And there are computers everywhere! Great for blogging.
