A&D Does Double Duty

Thanks to my friend Danielle, I've found a great and very inexpensive way to moisturize and protect my lips. It's called A&D ointment. You're probably familiar with it as a baby product. Turns out it works like magic on the lips. One tip: buy the ointment, not the cream. Danielle says you can also use it on irritated earlobes.

Cuticle and Nail Oil

Here's a brief update to a post I did yesterday. Another way to keep nails looking healthy is to use a nail oil. My nails rip easily and often appear dull looking. And it helps keep cuticles soft. Nail oil is an easy way to improve the appearance of short, less than glamorous nails. You can also rub olive oil into your cuticles.

Nails a Mess?

Here's another simple tip to help you look your best in '07.

When your nails are a mess, keep them short and clean. Instead of polish, opt for a clear top coat to strengthen and protect nails. I like Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails. You can buy this at any drugstore or big box store like Target or Wal-Mart. I also recommend O.P.I.'s Nail Envy.

Let's kick off 2007 with a great tip!

Mix a little Cetaphil cleanser with baking soda to create an inexpensive, yet effective exfoliant. I tried this Friday morning and was pleased with my skin's appearence. You don't need a lot of cleanser, nor do you need a lot of baking soda. Simply mix together to create a paste and apply. Gently rub all over face.
