Tomorrow my mom & I leave for a bonding trip to Europe. We are taking a journey to the South of France to meet with family we didn't know existed until a year ago.

Almost Bare. again!

One last update on Almost Bare. Now that I have had the chance to sample the fragrance I feel it is worth a thumbs up. It is not what I would call a sexy fragrance. It is airy -- think towels drying in the sun on a clothesline. This would be a great graduation gift for a college student who enjoys nature and the outdoors. I don't know if Almost Bare will become a cult favorite like Beach, but it is lovely and fresh.

Bobbi Brown's Almost Bare -- update

An update now on a previous post. I was at White's Pharmacy in East Hampton and the store was giving out samples of Bobbi Brown's new Almost Bare. I used it tonight, and enjoyed it. It reminds me of her other scent Bath, because it is extremely clean and light. Bobbi's perfumes are great for people who don't like heavy scents. Of course, now that summer has (almost) arrived, you may want to check out her famous fragrance, Beach.

It's made with sand jasmine, mandarin and sea spray. Either way, you've got a winner.

Bobbi Brown's New Fragrance

The Beauty Addict has a great post about Bobbi Brown's newest minimalist fragrance - Almost Bare.
It's a floral fragrance; Italian bergamot blended with violet leaves, jasmine petals and amber.

Makeup show

Wow. I'm pooped. Yesterday we feted my sister-in-law to be at a Tiffany-themed shower.
It was lovely and Jess looked very happy. In the picture above Jess is the blond. I am the brunette next to her.

She especially liked the roses my sweet brother sent to her for the big day. He is in Vegas for a convention with my dad and uncle.

Then today (Monday) I attended a wild makeup show in Chelsea. All I can say is wow! Women like their beauty products. Today is my birthday, so it was hard to turn down free product, especially when I can blog about stuff. I had fun working with the folks from Coverfx and 3 Custom Color and Kryolan. I also enjoyed meeting the folks at Mario Badescu Skin Care, Senna and Big Girl. Lots to blog about. I can't wait to try out Stila cosmetic's silk shimmer gloss and cherry crush lip and cheek stain.

More later ... I have to get ready for dinner now.
