Kate Somerville

I finally got my hands on Kate Somerville's Exfoli-kate. Awesome. Pricey ($85). But this enzyme-packed mask is effective and does not strip skin of natural properties. It even has cinammon.

Product Perfect recommends this product.

You can buy it at Henri Bendel's.

Snaps for Lancome

I just realized I posted two pictures without writing anything about the products. Sorry about that. Chalk it up to the heat, or the summertime blues or whatever. Back to beauty for the moment, the above compact is one of my new favorite products. It's a bronzer-blush from Lancome that gives the apples of my cheeks just the right about of popsicle punch. I swirl my blush in the bronzer to play up my tan, then I pick up a little of the coral to give me that healthy glow. You can buy this product online or in Lancome boutiques. But I would act quickly, because the bronzer ($36.50) is part of a limited edition collection. The lip glosses below are part of the same Maharani Jewels fall 2008 collection.
Aren't they regal-looking? I just love Autumn Jasmine ($18)

My Oney has arrived!

My new handbag arrived. I've already gotten several compliments on it. I'm proud of it because I designed it myself online. I got to pick out both fabrics ~ the inside and outside. There are hundreds of designs to choose from, including solids and patterns. And the best part is that the bag is reversible. If you would like to order a personalized bag, visit Oney Bags.
Isn't she lovely?

Beauty Boscia Style

A few weeks ago I wrote about my favorite blotting linens from Boscia. Readers wrote in to say they also liked the blotting tissues from Alcone and Clean and Clear.

I figured I should also let you know a little more about Boscia products. Right now I am using several products from their Clear Complexion (with botanical blast) line.

I started using the Clear Complexion series because my skin was breaking out ~ the humidity just wreaks havoc on my pores. The collection is sulfate-free and contains properties designed to neutralize bacteria. There's cleanser, toner and a treament gel. The boscia products are great because they are gentle and effective. Unlike other harsh acne products, Boscia cleansers and toners won't strip the skin.
Anyway, now is a great time to try something from Boscia because the website is offering free shipping + samples for orders over $45.
If your skin is suffering, you may want to consider the kit photograped above. It's a great way to test out the product line.

True Love!

Looking for a light, sheer easy-to-wear nail color for the dog days (and nights) of summer?

Try Essie's True Love. Pastel pink with a hint of coral. Very natural.

Also, I recommend the manicures at Acqua Beauty Bar. I had a little free time today in between meetings so I decided to treat myself to a manicure and cool off from day 6 of the heat wave.
I really think Acqua does the best job in the City. True, Acqua's are more expensive than the average corner salon, but their manicures last.

*Where do you go for manicures in New York City?

Introducing Noah

Well, she did it. Jaime (not me) has given birth to a beautiful baby boy, 9 days post-date.

IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE END!!!

Great Summer Products

Leave it to Neutrogena to come up with a great Spf 30 /moisturizer with a built-in color booster. Love this stuff.

Every morning (sometimes every other morning) I apply it and am guaranteed to get sun protection and a little color. You know the kind of color I'm talking about -- sun-kissed color. Very natural looking.

The best part is that there's no evidence of self-tanner on my face because this is a gradual booster. Also, there's no yucky smell. The product comes is available for fair and medium skin tones. Don't forget to wash your hands after applying it.

More facts:
Neutrogena Color Boosting Sunblock is oil-free, PABA-free, and non-comedogenic, so it won't clog your pores.
